Thank you for your interest in Watervliet Arsenal, America’s Cannon and Mortar Factory! We are proud to execute our mission of manufacturing cannons, mortars, and other complex machined items for the U.S. Joint Force, allied and partner nations, and commercial industry. Our team of engineers, artisans, and other technical experts forge the future on the cutting edge of precision manufacturing.
It is an absolute honor and privilege to serve as the 64th Commander of Watervliet Arsenal, the oldest continuously active arsenal in the United States.
Watervliet Arsenal is located along the Hudson River in New York’s beautiful Capital Region. An integral part of the community since 1813, both the arsenal and local area are not only rich with history but also bustling with innovative sectors of the economy. Our community partners, both on and off the installation, are critical to our success and we are grateful to share special bonds with the City of Watervliet and other local municipalities.
Our people are the basis for everything we do. Our goal is to build an inclusive culture that values and respects all our team members, fostering a culture of innovation as well as continuous improvement.
We exist to manufacture the highest quality, reliable weapons systems. Given our long, productive history, Watervliet Arsenal is undergoing a major modernization of its equipment, tools, and facilities. This is a holistic effort that will incorporate the latest manufacturing technologies, processes, and data systems to improve productivity and efficiency. We will also continue to develop our workforce to ensure that we are ready to answer our Nation’s call for high tech manufacturing into the future. The investments in the arsenal have made and will continue to build our capability and competitive advantage to deliver lethal combat systems. Notably, this will all be done in-stride with current production - it is an exciting time to be part of the Watervliet Arsenal team!
