Transportation Information

General Information

REAL ID Enforcement: Beginning May 8, 2025, a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or supplemental identification (passport, TWIC, etc.) is required for access.

Appointments: All commercial carriers MUST schedule delivery appointments through the Carrier Appointment System (CAS).

  • - If CAS is down, call 518-266-5858 for an appointment.
  • - Failure to schedule an appointment in CAS may result in delays, no additional funds, and carrier performance action.

Freight Brokering: Brokering of 675 freight is prohibited per MFTURP-1.

  • - Drivers picking up 675 freight must have properly marked vehicles and a valid lease.
  • - Brokered drivers attempting to pick up 675 freight will be denied, and the carrier will receive a service failure.

Directions & Hours

Entrance: Commercial traffic enters through the South Gate on Route 32. Right turns into the Arsenal are prohibited for commercial trucks.

Directions: I-787 TO EXIT 7W (ROUTE 378 WEST). TAKE THE 1ST EXIT OFF OF ROUTE 378 WEST TO ROUTE 32. TURN RIGHT ON ROUTE 32. FOLLOW ROUTE 32 FOR 1.3 MILES AND THE ENTRANCE WILL BE ON THE LEFT.

Receiving & Shipping:

    - Monday-Thursday: 8:00 am - 2:30 pm
  • - Friday: 8:00 am - 1:30 pm
  • - Closed on Federal Holidays

Friday Deliveries: Call or email before shipping on Friday to confirm if receiving is open.

Driver Coordination: Drivers must go to the Receiving office to arrange loading and unloading.

Safety & Requirements

Background Checks:, Extensive background checks are conducted on all individuals before entry.

US Citizenship: Only US citizens are allowed entry.

Onboard Cameras: Trucks with onboard cameras must have them covered or disabled before entry. Drivers who fail to do so will be denied entry.

No Restrooms, showers, public telephones, or food is available on site. Drivers must remain with the vehicle at the Commercial Vehicle Holding Area near the Visitor Center. Dropping of trailers is not authorized.
