The Watervliet Arsenal Public Affairs Office works to cultivate a shared understanding of the arsenal commander's priorities, facilitates engagement with stakeholders and synchronizes communications across the arsenal – fulfilling Watervliet Arsenal's obligations to inform its workforce, the Army and the American people.
Community Relations
Nestled in the heart of the City of Watervliet, Watervliet Arsenal has been an active partner in its community for more than 210 years. The Watervliet Arsenal command values the relationship between the Army and our civilian communities and takes careful measures to engage in continual dialogue and interaction with all stakeholders. Watervliet Arsenal is an active participant in several community events throughout the year.
Media Relations
The Watervliet Arsenal PAO helps the public understand WVA’s mission and operations by facilitating engagements between media outlets and Arsenal leadership, escorting media, creating news and information products that inform the public on WVA activities and much more.
Command Information
Known as corporate communication outside the military, command information is all official communication of the command. This is communicating to stakeholders, to the Army and Department of Defense, and to our workforce using all communication tools available ranging from social media and multimedia products, to news stories and command speeches.
